Mr. Joseph Otoo
Joseph Otoo is a Ph.D. Researcher in Statistical Machine Learning with applications in Health Care and Epidemiology in University of Ghana and expected to graduate in July, 2021. From 2001 to 2006, he pursued a Bachelor of Social Science Degree in Economics and Mathematics at the University of Cape Coast, prior to his Masters education in Industrial Mathematics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi from 2012 to 2015.
He is affiliated to the Royal Statistical Society, UK and Institute of Mathematical Statistics and has enormous knowledge with computer applications and software (such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Latex, SPSS, STATA, R Statistical Package and Matlab) which assist him in his daily statistical analysis and findings.
From 2009 to date Joseph has served in various capacities in the academia as Head Teacher in Victoria Memorial Christian School , Mathematics Teacher in Awudome Senior High School, Engineering Mathematics Lecturer in Ho Polytechnic and currently works with The Institute for Educational Development and Extension (IEDE) - Ho Center, University of Education Winneba, as a Mathematics and Statistics Lecturer.
His experiences paved the way for him to work as Project Officer in Future Generations International (FUGI). He served in projects like the USAID/AED/SHARP Project (under the title, High Impact Interventions to Improve PLHIV Health Status) and UNHCR HIV/AIDS Project (under the title, UNHCR HIV/AIDS Sensitization Project in the Volta Region).
His work with FUGI generated interest in him to promote the Immunization Sustainability Fund; knowing how beneficial it will be to Ghanaian children and Africa at large.
